We believe that athletes who move well, perform well. Over the years, our approach has evolved from focusing solely on mechanical adjustments to emphasizing holistic athletic development by building complete players through efficient, explosive movement that translates directly to game performance.
While technical improvements are addressed during lessons, we know that the athletes who continue to advance are those who develop strong athletic movement patterns and the ability to produce force efficiently. All drills and instruction are designed to build these qualities, helping athletes reach their full potential on and off the field.
Lesson Structure
Pre-Lesson Preparation
Athletes should complete a personal static stretch before the lesson. This key step helps prevent injuries, and players are encouraged to arrive early with a plan to get their body ready to train. Coaches can assist in creating a personalized pre-workout stretching and warm-up routine if needed.
Dynamic Warm-Up
Each lesson usually starts with a dynamic warm-up, which can include non-baseball activities like throwing a football or running routes. These exercises activate the body and enhance coordination and overall athletic movement patterns.
Catch Play and Defensive Work
After warming up, athletes move into catch play and defensive drills that emphasize athletic movement, explosiveness, and body control. Occasionally, a lesson may focus mostly on these drills, as movement efficiency is crucial for long-term athletic success.
Offensive Development
Lessons typically conclude with offensive work such as batting practice, simulated at-bats, or mechanical adjustments.
Small group training during this phase allows athletes to compete, learn from peers, and apply the movement principles covered earlier.
Individualized Coaching
Every lesson is unique.
When a coach identifies an area needing attention, that skill may become the session’s focus. Each athlete develops at their own pace and requires tailored instruction.
We don’t follow a one-size-fits-all approach. Our goal is to pinpoint each player’s needs and guide them toward ongoing improvement.
Experience shows that athletes who consistently apply what they learn—both on and off the field—maximize their chances of advancing through the ranks.
